I am soo behind. We just moved and work is crazy busy. I need to catch up on a whole week, and then start a regular daily routine so I am putting time aside for this. Otherwise, I can't spend the time I need on each daily reading if I am trying to cram a week in. I'm dissapointed in myself because I was doing it daily! Okay, I confessed and now I need to get reading, hope to post a real comment soon.
Reading IN exodus today I am reminded that a first born has such a blessing, as well as being the most volnerable to attack. It would be a different kind of pain to lose your first born I think. I know, looking at my family and also at my own family, my little boys that the first born has been the most attacked. it is such a good truth that having Jesus blood over our lives is protecting him!
Jesus healed so many. Mathew and Mark are relentless in story after story of Jesus healing the sick. He never turned any one away who asked. He healed EVERY sickness and disease. He forgave sins and made bodies whole again. It even says in Mathew 16:
"And these signs will accompany those who believe.......they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
I have to confess. I have great unbelief when it comes to these words. I have spoken about healing, I have prayed for healing, but I feel like deep down I don't believe it. Lord, help my unbelief!
I pray that the word of God will cause faith to rise up in our hearts. That we may believe and see the real and tangible physical, spiritual, and emotional healing in our lives and in the lives of whom we touch.
I have festering wound on my left pink finger as I am write this. I am seeking treatment with a doctor, but, man! I want to see a miracle!!!
Two years ago I cut my pinky badly with a power saw. I cut the nail in half length wise and it never grew back right. I have had a deformed pinky ever since. For some reason it is swelling and has become infected. I am praying for a crazy and complete healing! Nail restored, no deformity, no scar. If you'd like to pray along with me and for me, I would be so blessed!
I will keep every one posted.
All for the Glory of God, in Christ Jesus our saving grace, and by the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
I wanted to post about Psalm 31. What a strong opening phrase - "In thee, O Lord, do I seek refuge;" This to me is the important trust that we can have for the Lord to protect those who turn to him in need. The Psalm then explores further aspects of this relationship of the individual in prayer with G-d. It is one of the longer psalms that would have had great resonance in its sung form. Vrs 23 and 24 beautifully end the moment from "Love the Lord, all you his saints!" to ""Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!" I am glad to read these words and share my thoughts.
