I wonder and worry about what Christ would say about our churches, and whether we are turning them into marketplaces, with coffeeshops, and bookstores and t-shirt sales... We (as a body) need to be careful of this.
Oh yes! I've wondered that too. I think one of the worst problems with the marketplaces back then is that money changers were jacking up their exchange rates since people were ONLY allowed to use local currency. So it's my opinion that the biggest potential problem with the stores owned by churches would be how much of a profit are they making and where they are spending those profits?
