This verse has always confused me: "I tell you the truth, this generations will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened" Mk 14:30. Is there another meaning for the word "generation" here? Because it sounds like Jesus was saying that He would return before the present generation had passed away. Does anyone have insight into this?
Wow. Is it just me or is this Psalm so rich... 34:9-10 (msg) "Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness. Young lions on the prowl get hungry, but God-seekers are full of God." I have found that the more I seek God, the more I thirst for Him, which is exactly what I want. And yet, I'm somehow FULL of Him. He's more than enough, but the seeking should never end... kind of a paradox. The point: seek Him. You'll thirst but never come up empty. Also I love verses 17-18 about God rescuing those crying for help, the broken-hearted. He's there. Also, verse 19: "Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time." Sometimes I'm stupid and think, because I follow Him, there shouldn't be too much trouble, but there WILL be trouble, many times because we follow him. But he's there.
andrea june..this generation is the generation that is here at the tribulation..you can cross reference to rev.6:19..there are commentaries on blueletterbible.com that are very helpful.
